My Teacher, My Hero

September 5 to October 5 is the celebration of the theme "My Teacher, My Hero". We all know that every year we celebrate it and every year we are having activities in related to theme not just for the students but also for the teachers. But what is the true essence of this celebration? It is not just showing that we love them but showing them that we appreciate them. For all the hardwork that they had been doing for us.
A hero is not just defined by fighting in a war. It is also defined as doing a novelty thing. Saving lives, protecting and helping people is already called a hero. If in the past hundred years we had Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Apolinario Mabini and other Filipino heroes who fought for our freedom. Todays hero is our teacher. Without a teacher, there will be no doctor, architect, engineers and even future teachers. They do not just teach us how speak in English and Filipino, learn the concepts of Newton's Third Law of Motion or understand the formulas in Advanced Algebra. It is the experience and value we learn from them. Chalk and eraser are their tools and with these tools we learn new things from them. From the advices and scolds we hear. We made ourselves more confident and responsible to our lives.
And this are my reasons why I consider teachers as my heroes.
